About Me

Hi there, and welcome to A Ramble Through the Woods! My name's Molly. I'm eighteen, homeschooled, and most importantly, a child of God, saved by the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

That's me in Colonial Williamsburg, snapping a picture of my sisters. :)

I absolutely love to draw, and have been doing so ever since I can remember. There's just something so wonderful about finishing a sketch or painting, and seeing how all of the little details came together to create one complete picture. I'm also an avid photographer, although I don't use my camera nearly as often as I'd like to! I just love capturing little moments of life through the lens of my camera.

I'm a bit of a bookworm, and I nearly always take something to read with me wherever I go! Some of my favorites include Jane Austen's novels, the Chronicles of Narnia series, and the Anne of Green Gables books.

I also love history, Disney, knitting, baking, instrumental/soundtrack music, playing acoustic guitar, and sipping iced coffee. ;)

Most importantly, I'm a follower of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom I love with my whole heart. He has blessed me with so much, and I seek to bring Him glory and honor in all that I do!

I started this blog as my own little creative outlet, where I can share my pictures, projects, artwork, ramblings about wonderful books and movies, and anything else that strikes my fancy. I hope you'll enjoy! :)

"So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." - 1 Corinthians 10:31

The Meaning Behind the Name, A Ramble Through the Woods

The name for my blog comes from one of my favorite book series, Anne of Green Gables. As I was thinking up possible blog names one day, I came across a quote that I had copied down from Anne of the Island, where Gilbert is talking to Anne:

"'You're just tired, Anne. Come forget it all and take a walk with me--a ramble back through the woods beyond the marsh. There should be something there I want to show you.'
'Should be! Don't you know if it is there?'
'No. I only know it should be, from something I saw there in the spring. Come on. We'll pretend we are two children again and we'll go the way of the wind.'"

See where he says "a ramble back through the woods?" Well, that's where the name for my blog comes from! I just love the sound of it, and I'll always think of Anne and Gilbert when I see it. :)

    5. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply to your comment, Anna! But in answer to your question, I do enjoy writing if it's journaling or blogging, but I'm not much of a writer of a fiction. Are you? :)

  8. Hi! I found your blog through the guest post you did on Seventy Times Seven. And I haven't had time to read through too many posts, but I have enjoyed what I have seen so far, and... well, I love Anne of Green Gables, creating, selling on Etsy, my family and Savior, and I also lived in VA for a few years... so I am very intrigued by your blog! Thank you for sharing with all of us!
