My (Over-Ambitious) August To-Do List

It seems as though summer just began, and yet here it is almost August! (Although I must say I'm not too sad about it; the humid, sticky heat is exhausting and I'm really looking forward to autumn, haha!) June and July have been some pretty busy months, so I'm excited about not having much to do in August and being able to tackle some of the things I've had on my to-do list. And since writing down the things I want to do or accomplish makes them more likely to actually happen, I'm going to post my to-do list here! It's definitely a bit optimistic (I'm always over-ambitious when making to-do lists), but hey, that's not a bad thing, right? And so, without further ado...

  • Blog more often. This is definitely a must-do, seeing as this is the first post I've written in over three months! Blogging is something that I really enjoy, so from now on I'm going to make it a point to set aside more time for it. I already have some fun post ideas, so keep an eye out for them! :)
  • Draw and paint. I haven't had much time to do either over the past couple of weeks, and so I can't wait to get out my sketchbook, colored pencils, and watercolor paint again! Maybe I'll color in a page or two in my Jane Austen coloring book--yes, that's a thing! I was so excited when I found it at Target a couple of weeks ago. It's the coolest thing ever. :D
  • Write. Whether it's a blog post, a short story, or a journal entry, I want to try and at least write something, as often as I can.
  • Learn an easy piece on the piano. I'm slowly trying to teach myself how to play the piano, and hopefully I'll be able to play a full piece soon!
  • Work on editing my Disney trip photos. I've definitely been procrastinating this one. My family and I got back from our Disney World trip at the beginning of May, and I'm nowhere near finished with editing the pictures I took. Seriously, I took way too many; like, 600-pictures-in-a-day too many. Why, Molly, why?! (Don't worry, a ton of those 600 pictures got thrown out, haha!) Anyways, I'm determined to finish them up soon, no matter how frustrating it is at times!
  • Catch up on my Goodreads challenge. I'm two books behind on my challenge to read 25 books this year, so I'm going to try and get caught up soon!
  • Make pressed flowers. I've been wanting to do this all summer! Pressed flowers are so pretty, and I'm thinking I could frame them and put it in my room somewhere. :)

Well, those are my goals for August! Thanks so much for reading, and props to you if you made it all the way to the end! I hope y'all are having a lovely summer!

What are your plans or goals for the rest of the summer?

-Molly
